Rationalism denies the virgin birth because man cannot explain it, and has given rise to the liberalism that redefines Jesus as merely a good man, a teacher, an example. He is all of these, but much more. Jesus is the Christ! (Isaiah 7:1-16)

The love of Christians for one another should stand in stark contrast to the self-centeredness of our culture. We must love because: 1) Our Lord Jesus commands us to do so; 2) The world will judge the credibility of our Christianity by the love we show for one another. What are you doing to tangibly show your Christian love for another person?

Worldly people think only of what Christians are losing -- where they can't go, what they can't do, what they can't have. People living without Christ cannot see what Christians have. The Christian's wealth is stored up, the Christian's pleasure is found, not in this world, but with God in Heaven. (Mark 14:26-42, 66-72)

We have standards because we have a relationship with God."

There is a sin that God will not forgive. (Mark 3:29, Luke 12:10) But it is not a sin a saved person can commit. It is the sin of a knowledgeable, unsaved person. (Part 3 of the May 20, 2007 A.M. and P.M. message.)
Speaker: Dr. Milton E. Jones
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)
Speaker: Dr. Milton E. Jones
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)

Many reject a Dispensational understanding of Scripture because it leads to the conclusion that the world is not going to get better. This is true. But to the Church God says, "your redemption draweth nigh."
Speaker: Dr. Milton E. Jones
Even in a world in which apostasy grows, the prospects for the Church are not dim.
Speaker: Dr. Milton E. Jones
That men are accountable for their actions is a truth that is written in the human conscience. The Word of God accentuates the fact that every violation of principle exacts its own penalty. We are accountable. It is important for us to learn to be accountable and to hold other people accountable.

Continuing from the morning message warning about "false worship", we go on to consider the characteristics of right worship. "...they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)
Speaker: Pastor Keith Betry
Much of what is offered as worship in "contemporary" churches is, in God’s eyes, false worship. It is born of man’s reason, designed for man’s convenience, made palatable by mixing in ungodly things of this sinful world, justified through misuse of Scripture, unconcerned with God’s standard for leadership, and set forth as a new standard of obedience. Teaching from 1 Kings chapter 12, Pastor Betry shows how Jeroboam introduced a similar false worship which led to the destruction of Israel.
Speaker: Pastor Keith Betry
Genesis chapter 2 gives us further information about creation, and particularly that of the human race. Wonderful as the earth, planets and stars may be, God’s focus in creation was not these, but man.

Contrary to popular teaching on this topic, being a Spirit-filled believer does not involve ecstatic experiences or require a "second blessing". Being a Spirit-filled believer simply means allowing the Holy Spirit to enter any "room" in our lives, and to change us as He sees fit.
Speaker: Pastor Keith Betry
"...the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." (1 Timothy 3:15) The church is God's plan -- God's only plan -- for the age in which we live. The advance of the gospel is absolutely dependent on local churches.

(Heb 12:1-11) Discipline is a word little cared for in our day and in our culture, but the reality is that without disciplined character we will not run the race that is set before us. We need discipline from our heavenly Father just as children need discipline from their earthly fathers. How should we respond to the Father's chastening? With humility, and joy!
