History

Oak Forest Christian Academy was founded in 1973 as a ministry of the Oak Forest Baptist Temple.  In June of 1997, the names changed to Heritage Baptist Church and Heritage Christian School as we moved from Oak Forest to new facilities in Frankfort.  The cornerstone of the school is our strong faith in a living God, who gave us His Book, the Holy Bible.  God is in every phase of our educational program.  In short, we believe that man owes everything he has and knows to a God who created him and who loves him.

If you are looking for a Christ-centered school that strives for spiritual and academic excellence, Heritage Christian School may be the place for your child’s education.  Here you will find an alternative to the pervasive humanistic philosophy espoused in the public schools.  We make no apology that our education filters learning through the eternal Word of God.  Our goal is to conform our students to the image of Christ.  We strive to see them mature mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially in a context that builds upon the values of the Christian home.  There is an emphasis upon fine arts as well as academics.
