Heritage Band and Choral Camp
August 4 - 8, 2008

Heritage Baptist Church is proud to announce that it will be hosting a band and choral camp from August 4-8, 2008. All those who love to sing, play a band instrument, and would like to develop their talents are invited to attend.

Anyone from 5th grade to adult with all levels of band interest are welcome to come and learn.

Four levels of band will be offered.

• The Minor League Band for beginners
• The Motivator League Band for the advanced beginners
• The Major League Band for those with only two to three years of experience
• The Master's League Band for those with at least three to four years of experience or superior abilities on their instrument.

The camp staff will determine which band the young people are assigned to based on their capabilities.

This year will offer an artist series every day of the camp. The artist series will feature a guest musician who has mastered his instrument with the goal of encouraging, modeling, and inspiring each camper.

Professional lessons will be offered by the teachers this year. Please contact the church office for details.

A Note From the Music Department

We are looking forward to an exciting, fun-filled week of learning and growing musically. Mark these dates on your calendar and feel free to invite others to come as well.

Please take note of the following:

• Registrations are due Wednesday, July 30, 2008. We need to know you are coming!
• Lunch is not provided. Each student will need to bring a sack lunch or plan on eating after the day's activities are over. There will be a special pizza day when each camper can purchase pizza, pop, and chips for a set price. This will be announced at the camp.
• Men's Attire: For camp, dress in modest, casual attire. Please do not wear shorts, jeans, or t-shirts. For the concert, Suit/sportcoat, tie, dress pants, dress shoes, and dark socks.
• Ladies Attire: For camp, please wear skirts, dresses, or culottes that cover the knee when seated – no shorts or slacks. For the concert, Sunday Dress. Again, please be modest – all skirts must cover the knee while seated.
• Private and group lessons are offered for a fee on woodwinds, brass, and percussion. If a student is desirous to study with a master teacher you my sign up by filling out a lesson sign-up sheet. Call the church office for details.
