The people of Heritage Baptist Church are proud to announce that we will be hosting a band and choral camp from August 2-6, 2010.  All those from 5th grade - adult who love to sing, play a band instrument, and would like to develop their talents are invited to attend.

Four levels of band will be offered:

The Minor League Band for beginners, the Motivator’s League Band for the advanced beginners, the Major League Band for those with only two to three years of experience, and the Master’s League Band for those with at least three to four years of experience or superior abilities on their instrument. The camp staff will determine which band the young people are assigned to based on their capabilities.

This year we will also feature an artist series performance every day of the camp. The artist series will feature a guest musician who has mastered his instrument with the goal of encouraging, modeling, and inspiring each camper.

Professional lessons will be offered by the teachers this year. Please see the attached brochures for all the details.

We are striving every year to make this camp more effective. May the Lord be glorified in this special camp designed for your musical growth

SUNDAY, AUGUST 8, 2:00 AFTERNOON SERVICE — The Heritage Baptist Church choir, the Valor Music Conservatory, and the Weigle family will be presenting excerpts from Mendelssohn’s Elijah.  The music will portray the life of Elijah the prophet.  Please invite your family, and friends to this wonderful biblical oratorio.

The next lesson continues our series of Jim Berg's "Changed into His Image":

"We cannot know God 'on the run' any more than we can know any other person that way.  Relationships require enormous amounts of time devoted to personal interaction with the other person.  'Taking Time to Change' is a thirteen-week study that leads you into a more intimate fellowship with God - the heart of biblical change. Each week's study unit will guide you into daily activities that help you apply to your life the truths taught in 'Changed into His Image'". 

If your attempts at making biblical change have been haphazard and sporadic, then let the study guide lead you into a more satisfying relationship with God.  Lasting peace and joy are offered by God to those who are willing to take the time to know Him on a personal, intimate level."

In October 2009, we were blessed with the ability to pay off our mortgage.  For the first time ever, this ministry is debt-free.

On November 22 we celebrated with current members, former members, and friends from all over the area.  About 300 people joined us for a meal and a special afternoon mortgage burning ceremony.
