The next lesson in our "stewardship" series is titled, "The Joy of Giving"."Few people would regard giving as the source of joy.  

Most people are stuck in the spiritually immature stage which recognizes

the necessity and responsibility of giving but struggles to maintain a right

attitude about it.  Spiritual maturity is the remedy for this malady.

While scripture does not countenance “vows of poverty” or the dereliction

of responsibility to meet earthly responsibilities, God’s Word teaches the

open heart that eternal values far exceed earthly ones.  To invest for time is

to reap a limited return.  To invest for eternity is to reap an inestimable return."

In October 2009, we were blessed with the ability to pay off our mortgage.  For the first time ever, this ministry is debt-free.

On November 22 we celebrated with current members, former members, and friends from all over the area.  About 300 people joined us for a meal and a special afternoon mortgage burning ceremony.
